Chili-lime tempeh; Plant protein never tasted so good.

Most people have never heard of Tempeh so let me explain what it is before I list this recipe. Tempeh is a form of sprouted soy that is full of protein and probiotics (healthy gut bacteria). It has a very bland flavour which makes it easy to spice up and throw on top of a salad or grain bowl.

Chili-lime is one of my favourite Tempeh flavours because it adds a nice kick to a salad or bowl.

Ingredients:

Tempeh

1 tsp. of chili powder

1/2 tsp. of cayenne pepper

1 tbsp. of lime juice

1/2 tbsp. of olive oil

salt & pepper to taste

Pre-heat your oven to 350 C.

Slice your tempeh into thin pieces and cover it with olive oil.

Add the dry spices and ensure that all tempeh is coated, and lightly add the lime juice.

Make sure that each piece is well-coated and let it marinate for about 10-20 minutes.

Place on a baking sheet and into the oven for 15 minutes

TA-DA! It's done. so easy!
